Delhi Capitals v Kolkata Knight Riders Preview

Delhi Capitals will fancy their chances here today after a much better start to the year. DC have three wins and just one loss to KKR’s record which is essentially the inverse. The Delhi Capitals beat Chennai Super Kings on day two, and then lost to the Rajasthan Royals before getting back to winning ways against the Punjab Kings and last year’s champions Mumbai Indians. The Knight Riders beat the Sunrisers Hyderabad on day three of the season, but then went three without a win against Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings.

Delhi Capitals v Kolkata Knight Riders Odds

We’re definitely thinking that Delhi Capitals are good value for their favourites tag, where they are priced at odds of 5/7 for another win. It’s 11/10 for a Kolkata Knight Riders victory. We can’t recommend betting on a draw in any cricket game, although the odds are currently 13/1 and there was one in this fixture as recently as 2019.

Delhi Capitals v Kolkata Knight Riders Betting Tips

Over the years, these sides have squared off 26 times, with one game not coming up with a result. Kolkata, who used to have a different franchise name, narrowly take the lead, having won 14 times, although results tend to swing with each side getting a win last year and in 2018 and one game taking a draw to decide in 2019. With 11 wins on their resumé, Delhi Capitals will be hoping to get closer to tying the record this time out. We like Kagiso Rabada at 9/4 to be DC’s top bowler, while we fancy Nitish Rana to be the RCB top batsman.

Kagiso Rabada to be home team’s top bowler – 9/4

We think that if Delhi Capitals are to get the win here, the 25-year-old will need to be on his game. We expect that to be the case, and we’re backing him to be the top bowler.

Nitish Rana to be away team’s top batsman – 11/4

He started the season with consecutive showings as top batsman for the Kolkata Knight Riders, but hasn’t been as strong since. We think he’ll be back against the Punjab Kings, and will carry that form into this game with the Delhi Capitals.
